2026–2027 season
Solve a real problem with technology.
The new season starts on November 2.
Over a few months, you work in a team on a digital solution to a problem in your community. You learn to code, use AI, test your idea with real people and present it in an international competition. The program is free, and the curriculum is available in Romanian.
Registration on the Technovation platform opens on November 2, 2026.

What is Technovation
Students pick the problem. And build the solution.
Technovation is a free international technology and entrepreneurship program for students. Every year, teams from around the world identify a problem in their community, talk to the people affected and build a digital solution that works.
In Romania, the program is coordinated by the Adfaber Association. Teams learn through hands-on lessons, work with a mentor and present their project to a national and international jury.
You don't need to know how to code yet. You need curiosity and 1–2 hours a week.

There's a place for you on the team.
Are you a student?
All you need is curiosity. You form a team of 1–5 classmates, friends or students from other schools, follow the free lessons and build a solution to a problem around you. If you're under 18, your parent gives consent on the platform.
Pre-register→Want to be a mentor?
You support a team for 1–2 hours a week. You don't need technical experience: you guide, ask questions and learn together. You can be a teacher, parent, university student or specialist. You complete an online training and a safety check.

Tell your students about the program and coordinate one or more teams at your school. You get materials and posters and join a community of engaged teachers. Add your school to the map of institutions that support the program.
Are you a parent?
Show your child they can build technology. Send them the link to this page and encourage them to form a team. If they're under 18, you give your consent directly on the platform. Parents can also become mentors.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers.
Do I need to know how to code to take part?
No. The program is for students aged 8–18, whatever their level. You learn step by step, through free lessons in Romanian and with your mentor's support.
Can boys take part too?
Yes. From the 2026–2027 season, girls and boys can team up in the Mixed Track. All-girl teams compete in the Girls Track.
How old do I need to be?
Between 8 and 18. The team's division (Beginner, Junior or Senior) is set by the age of its oldest member.
What does the mentor or teacher do?
The mentor guides the team through the curriculum, helps it get organised and encourages it to test its solution with real people. The project belongs to the students: the idea, the code and the decisions are theirs.
How long does the program last?
The season runs from November to June. We recommend one meeting a week with the team and 40–60 hours of work for the whole project. The submission deadline is May 5, 2027.
What kind of solutions do teams build?
Digital solutions that solve real problems in the community: education, safety, mental health, the environment and much more.
Does it cost anything?
No. Taking part is free for students, teachers and mentors.
How can a company get involved?
Companies can sponsor teams or the national competition, and offer scholarships, mentors, judges or resources. Write to us at comunicare@adfaber.org.
Is it suitable for schools in small towns or rural areas?
Yes. Mentoring can also happen online, and teams can include students from different schools.
Can I take part if I'm a parent or just want to help?
Yes. Parents can support teams, encourage participation and become mentors.
